Real Pérola

The Concept

The snack-mar restaurant

Conquering
Lisbon's heart

In the heart of Lisbon, close to Largo do Rato, Real Pérola by Olivier is a new restaurant that reinvents the concept of a seafood restaurant. Set in a former bakery, the space combines tradition and modern elegance, evoking the glamor of the 1920s and celebrating Portugal’s maritime heritage.

With a menu focused on the treasures of the sea and a carefully decorated design, the restaurant offers a sophisticated experience in three different environments: the Main Room, where chefs prepare fresh fruits sea sea in sight; the Transition Room, with vibrant and welcoming tones; and Sala Tasca, which updates the traditional Portuguese tavern with a contemporary touch.

AMBIANCE

Real Pérola’s striking design is a visionary creation by Camilla Degli Esposti, known for her ability to weave haute couture into interior spaces. Camilla has created an environment where luxury meets authenticity, balancing the historic with the contemporary. Every detail, from the hand-painted ceilings to the rich fabrics, reflects his commitment to elegance and character. The result is a space that feels both timeless and modern, inviting guests to immerse themselves in an experience that is as visually captivating as it is gastronomically satisfying.
Enter Real Pérola and discover a journey through three distinct and carefully designed environments, each with a unique atmosphere:

The Main Room: Here, the charm of the past meets contemporary elegance. Guests are greeted by beautifully restored antique ceiling moldings complemented by a luxurious hexagonal marble mosaic floor. The walls are covered with soft fabric panels, creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. In the center of this room is our impressive round counter, where you can enjoy a privileged place to watch the preparation of seafood, masterfully made by our chefs.

The Transition Room: When moving to the next room, the atmosphere changes subtly. This room features a vibrant and bold color palette, with shades of mint, forest green and blush, creating a dynamic and inviting environment. Hand-painted ceilings add a touch of art, while large round tables encourage group gatherings and shared moments. It’s the perfect setting for lively conversation while enjoying perfectly prepared seafood dishes.

The Sala Tasca: Finally, the journey concludes in a modern interpretation of a traditional Portuguese “tasca”. Here, hand-painted geometric tiles line the walls, and strategically placed mirrors reflect the dynamic energy of the long counter. Rich fabrics and luxurious textures contribute to a sophisticated and vibrant atmosphere, making this space ideal for those who appreciate character and style.
